National Road Transport Association

NatRoad is Australia’s only national trucking industry association. We represent road freight operators, from owner-drivers to large fleet operators, general freight, road trains, livestock, tippers, express car carriers, as well as tankers and refrigerated operators.

NatRoad is a not-for-profit Association overseen by a Board of Directors, the majority of which all run trucking businesses. You can be sure that we will focus on those issues most important to you – keeping your trucks and business running.

Australian Trucking Association

The ATA is the peak body that represents trucking operators. The ATA’s members include major logistics companies, transport industry associations and businesses with leading expertise in truck technology.

The ATA was established to improve the trucking industry’s safety, professionalism and viability after the Grafton truck and bus crash in October 1989. The accident claimed 21 lives and was the worst accident in Australian road transport history at the time.

  • Driver development

  • Fatigue management; Basic Fatigue Management and Advanced Fatigue Management

  • Safety

  • Truck maintenance

  • Mass management

  • General business decisions and development

  • Compliance

These key components allow us to create a safe, dynamic and up to date environment that endorses driver development and business growth – overall creating an efficient transport operation.
